Pre-Employment Screening and Verification
Pre-employment screening and verification confirms the
information presented on a job application and verifies the integrity of
an applicant. Heightened security concerns make this an indispensable
part of the recruitment process. The Company also reserves the right to
request current employee driving records to determine eligibility for
promotion or reassignment in the same manner as described above.
Employment Verification: The Company may contact previous
Employers for reference. Employment verification may also include
discussions about job related performance and behavior, work
attitudes, and salary verification.
Driving Record Verification: Driving a company vehicle (or if you
drive your personal vehicle) is a requirement of the job. The Company
will obtain driving records of potential applicants to determine if the
applicant would be insurable under the company’s general insurance
policy. Questionable driving records may either disqualify an
applicant from employment or in limited circumstances, the applicant
may qualify for high-risk policy.
Drug Test: The Company is committed to maintaining a safe and
productive work environment and hiring individuals that are well
qualified. It is our policy to conduct pre-employment drug tests on all
employees.
FMCSA CDL Drug and Alcohol Clearing House: In accordance
with the Federal Motor Carrier Administration Safety Administration
(FMCSA), all individuals with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
or CDL Permit will be screened through the FMCSA Commercial
Driver’s License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to determine if drug
or alcohol violation information exists. Applicants must electronically
authorize the company to conduct a full query of the clearinghouse.
Refusal to authorize a full query will result in the reporting of a refusal
to consent with the clearinghouse and inability to hire the applicant.
Offer of Employment: All offers of employment are conditioned on
receipt of a drug/health screening report that is acceptable to the
