Company. A credit report may be obtained on applicants where their
particular job requires them to be responsible for a company credit or
debit card or managing company assets and/or expenses. Reports are
kept confidential and are only viewed by individuals involved in the
hiring process.
Deny Employment: If information obtained in a driving record or
credit report would lead the Company to deny employment, a copy of
the report may be provided to the applicant (at the applicant’s request),
and the applicant will have the opportunity to dispute the report’s
accuracy.
New Hire
The new hire policy is to ensure Precision Underground is
following the requirements of state and federal employment laws as
well as set expectations of new hires.
On the first day of employment, all employees must:
1. Provide a valid driver’s license or passport and social security card
prior to performing any work.
2. Complete the IRS Form W-4 Employee Withholding Allowance.
An employee can change their withholding election at any time.
3. Complete a Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
4. A drug test is required the first day of employment and will be
arranged for the employee by the Office Manager or General
Manager. Employees are not permitted to work in safety sensitive
tasks until the test results have been received. A positive result for
any illegal drugs will result in immediate termination.
Employee Classifications
Each employee will be advised of his or her classification at
the time of hire and with any change in their employment status.
Regardless of the employee’s classification, the employee is employed
at-will and the employment relationship can be terminated by the
Company or the employee at any time, with or without cause. The
following terms are used to describe employee classifications and their
employment status:
