In the 2020 report, presented by experts from the World Bank and the International
Finance Corporation, in 5 out of 10 areas (registration of commercial enterprises;
Enforcement of contracts; Protection of minority investors ; Obtaining construction permits;
International trade ) The situation in Uzbekistan has improved. The rating score increased
from 67.8 points in the previous year to 69.9 points (assessed on a 100-point system).
In subsequent years, it becomes a trend to determine business indices by region of the
country. In connection with these changes, various scientific and methodological studies and
approaches are being carried out to determine the business index rating in the regions of
Uzbekistan. As shown in Figure 4.3.1, a number of benefits are achieved as a result of
implementing this index.
Our republic was among the 5 countries that achieved the best results in increasing
their rating. First of all, it should be said that as a result of reforms in the field of improving
the business environment in our republic, the procedures for registering business entities and
submitting permits are being simplified.
