CHILD CARE CENTRE
IAP Cochin for the first time in the state started the Centre for Learning Disabilities in Feb 1995.
Learning disabilities should be suspected , especially if the child is performing well in other areas but
struggles with academics. The signs are , good at everything except studies or performing well orally
but struggling with writing, are common indicators of a potential learning disability.
By providing a comprehensive assessment for children with learning problems, the center helps in
early detection and intervention, which can be crucial in helping these children overcome their chal-
lenges and reach their full potential.
The centre was started when Dr M Venugopal was IAP president and Dr Abraham K Paul was IAP Co-
chin Secretary.The centre now gets referal from Ernakulam and nearby districts.
The Centre now functions at Panampilly Nagar.
