but the crops are parched and shrivelling
and the well is dry today.
Water raging at the coastline,
sense the rhythm of the storm;
see the beauty, feel the power
watched from safety, light and warm.
Water raging down the river
spreading over fields in sheets,
tearing houses, drowning cattle,
sweeping through the city streets.
Jesus shared a stranger’s water;
for our thirst the cross he bore,
bringing for us living water
so the world need thirst no more.
Can we share our precious water,
letting others’ needs come first,
working, praying for a future
when the world need never thirst?

Clean water
Bless the Almighty, O my soul.
O God, my Creator, how mighty art Thou!
Your power is like deep oceans.
Your blessings shower us daily like rain from the sky.
Your love is abundant like waves on the shore.
Thank you for water to cleanse and revive us.
Yet drought kills millions of your people;
will there come a time when there’s not enough water for all?
I see swimming pools as luxury; clean, fresh water wasted
in a land where many quench their thirst with dirty water.
