CATHERINE MINNIS, FISCAL AFFAIRS
We ended the 2023–2024 sororal year with a bang. In keeping with our theme to Educate, Motivate, and Stimulate Sorors, we raised funds to continue our chapter programming.
We successfully partnered with area chapters with our 2nd Tri-Chapter Crimson and Cream Takeover at HardRock, raising over $11,000, an increase of $4,000 from the previous year; established a new partnership with the City of Plantation to coordinate our 9th Delta 5K Run/Walk, raising close to $10,000; continued our 3rd HundredX Campaign raising over $20,000; and partnered with DELDF for the 2nd SET S.A.I.L. Reloaded Cruise to The Bahamas, selling 35 cabins! THANKS to our phenomenal Sorors Tracy Barnswell, Dawn Thurston, Deborah Wells, Tamara Gant, and Samone Gibson, who caught the vision, dedicated numerous hours, and worked diligently with their committee members so we would catch our flight towards a destined path forward.
As our Chapter embarks on its 69th Anniversary, many opportunities exist to renew and restore our fundraising efforts! Let’s envision the expansion of 7 new partnerships at $10,000 each (YES!) and ensuring everyone is on board the flight as Sister Soul Ambassadors on a mission to reach our highest altitude! We can all demonstrate a shared vision by first giving towards the goal ourselves, participating in all of the events, making direct asks with family, friends and potential sponsors, and telling our “why ” story by use of a QR Code!
Are you one of the 280 people within our Chapter? JOIN us, and don’t miss this chartered flight! Everyone who secures a seat and buckles up will be on board to embrace our 2024-2025 vision to Participate, Activate, and Elevate our goal to raise $70,000.
As the old adage goes, “When You Know Better, You DO better; When You are Inspired, You make MORE happen; and When You are excited, you TAKE ACTION to arrive at your destination.
