Madhu Padma’s Journey with Adhiyogi – From Mysore Dawn to Goa’s Wisdom
Madhu Padma, a Yoga Teacher and IT Management Professional from the USA, first met Adhiyogi in Mysore, India. At that time, they happened to share a simple dormitory space. One early morning, at around 4 a.m., Madhu awoke to a sound unlike anything he had experienced before — Adhiyogi was singing a devotional hymn to the Divine Mother. The purity of the voice, the depth of emotion, and the discipline reflected in that moment moved Madhu to tears.
That day left a lasting impression. “He truly practices what he teaches,” Madhu recalls. From then on, Adhiyogi became not just a teacher, but a mentor, a friend, and a guide in navigating both the practical and philosophical questions of life. Whether the topic was Indian philosophy, personal dilemmas, or the subtler aspects of Yoga practice, Adhiyogi’s wisdom, warmth, and ever-present smile created an environment where learning felt natural and inspiring.
Later, recognizing Adhiyogi’s depth of knowledge, Madhu invited him to Goa to teach Yoga Philosophy in a Teacher Training Program. Over those sessions, participants were captivated by Adhiyogi’s ability to take ancient concepts and make them clear, relevant, and alive for the modern seeker. His style was not just academic; it was rooted in lived experience, and his open heart made every interaction feel personal and meaningful.
Looking back, Madhu says, “I am so blessed to have him in my life. His knowledge is vast, his presence uplifting, and his heart open to all. I offer my humble bow and deepest gratitude for the way he spreads wisdom and love in this world.”
OM Shantiḥ.
