भ्रारत्मया बहुमत-ध्वारते राि-योगमिानताम् ।
हठ-प्रदीवपकां धत्ते स्वात्ममारामः कृपाकरः ॥ १.३॥
Hathayogapradipika 1.3: The highest state of raja yoga is unknown due to misconceptions (darkness) created by varying ideas and concepts. In good will and as a blessing, Swatmarama offers light on hathayoga.
इस्रियाणां मनो नाथो मनोनाथस्तु मारुतः । मारुतस्य लयो नाथः स लयो नादमाचश्रतः ॥ ४.२९॥
Hathayogapradipika 4.29: Mind is the ruler of the senses, prana is the ruler of the mind. Dissolution is the lord of the prana and that dissolution (laya) is the basis of nada.
