योगस्थः कुरु कमामणण सङ्गं त्मयक्त्मवा धनञ्जिय । शसद्ध्यशसद्ध्योः समो भत्मू वा समत्मवं योग उरयते ॥ २-४८॥
Bhagavadgita 2.48: OArjuna! Do every work by renouncing attachment to its fruits, being settled in Yoga, equal in relation to total and partial success. The equanimity of mind is called Yoga.
दरू ेण ह्यवरं कमम बवु धयोगाधनञ्जिय ।
बधु ौ शरणमस्रवरछ कृपणाः फलहेतवः ॥ २-४९॥
Bhagavadgita 2.49: O Dhananjaya! Action with attachment to its fruit is far inferior to Buddhi Yoga (i.e action done with evenness of mind). Take refuge in this knowledge inherent in the path of action (Karma Yoga). Those who work with desire for fruits are pitiable.
