दृग्दशथनशक्त्य रेकात्मतेिाद्धिता॥२.६॥
Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2.6: Dṛgdarśanaśaktyorekātmatevāsmitā|
Asmitā is confusing the power of perception (Citta) with the receiver of perception (Self, purūṣa).
When one practices Aṣṭāṅga Yoga, one encounters the milestone of Samādhi. Samādhi has to mature further as explained the Patañjali Code by Dr. Neel Kulkarni. This progression passes through 4 stages of Samādhi, all of which are grouped as saṁprajñāta Samādhi. Out of these, the highest one is Sa- Asmitā Samādhi, with object of Samādhi being Asmitā itself. This is given in the following Sūtra:
