day that includes fruits or vegetables, to keep your metabolism working at its best all day. You can't lose weight if your metabolism
slows down because of hunger. Fruits and vegetables play a key role in promoting a healthy digestive system, which is important to prevent the accumulation of toxins and waste in the body. By adopting a fruit and vegetable diet, you make sure you get the nutrients you need while you lose weight. Eating fruits and vegetables provides your body with enough fiber to make your digestive system work properly. Another advantage of fruits and vegetables is that they are filled with water. The high water content is good for your body and digestive system and works to make you feel fuller faster which means that you eat less and along with the more exercise you do, goes towards burning stored fats.
However, the fruits are rich in natural sugars. While there are people on this diet that could lose weight, eating a large amount of fruit puts you at risk of gaining weight. All losses are likely to disappear if you give up the diet, and your weight will crawl up. A fruit and vegetable diet may not always focus exclusively on these two food groups, but it does use them to make up the majority of what you eat every day. Although there are many benefits to eating lots of fruits and vegetables, gaining weight is not one of them. Although it is possible to gain weight on such a limited diet,
it is not easy. Your body size, metabolic rate, and level of physical activity all make a difference, but the most important factor is the number of calories you burn and consume each day. To gain weight on a fruit and vegetable diet, you should always eat more calories than you burn.
How much food do you need to eat to be healthy? Health experts have suggested that the ideal amount of fruits and vegetables to eat each day is 5 servings, but this may no longer be enough. According to extensive research, it is recommended that each person strive to eat at least 7 servings of fruits and vegetables each day to stay healthy and live longer. Getting a good filling of fruits and
vegetables might not be as difficult as we think. A big orange or a banana could be two servings right there. Half a cup of blueberries or grapes gives you your quota of one serving of fruit, and just in case you don't like to chomp through your fruit, mix them in a smoothie with your favorite juice or ice cream for a refreshing meal filled with nutrition from multiple fruit servings. One
serving is about 3oz or 80g of products. The trick is to have 7 different varieties of vegetables and fruits not 7 servings of the same product! (R, Anita)
