Abstract

Every minute, new knowledge is created and books are written to
capture that knowledge. As a result, library collections are constantly
growing and libraries are faced with the challenge of running out of
space. As of 2021, libraries across the region have exceeded more than
74% of their available capacity, and there is an urgent need for new
library space.

This project proposes a Cooperative Preservation Library where
materials held by individual libraries can be stored together to solve
the shortage of library space and minimize damage to materials.
This facility is intended to reduce the cost of expanding the library
space of unit public libraries and improve the efficiency of space
and the concentration of services by transferring underutilized
materials that have been held for a long time.
