Unit I: Theological Insights
We are all unworthy of salvation. Jesus bridged the gap of sin. We cannot make ourselves
more presentable. We do not have to clean ourselves up before we feel worthy of earning His
love. We are saved simply through faith, and we should recognize that as God's gift. We are
free to enjoy the blessings of belonging to God’s family, all motivated by His unfailing grace.
For Unit I, it is anticipated that there will be new participants since the
sessions will be taught via Zoom or outdoors in the Church Yard (we have a
INTRODUCTION large screen movie projector to show the video clips, etc., and ample
outdoor seating). The material is intended to be discussed within 1 hour via
Zoom or 1.5 hour in person. In preparing Unit I we consider *Richard
Osmer's Model while also exploring the topics of prevenient grace,
justifying grace, and sanctifying grace.
