Gathering data and presenting information

Digital information handling skills
1- Research information

• First: define a research question.
• Use the internet or offline sources, such as (digital books) to find information.
2- Collection
• Use word or excel for (numeric data) or pen and paper.

• Put your data into specific files and folders for different types such as (images,
text, videos, tables).
3- Classification
• Excel graphs can classify and provide a visual representation of data drawn in
the form a graph.
4- Processing
• After you research, collect, and classify your information. You process it to get

to results and share them with others. Use:
a) Word for a report.
b) Excel for a spreadsheet.
c) PowerPoint to create a presentation.
