Chapter 5

How to Start Filing on Time

“I am so thankful to the Bryson Law Firm for all that you have done for me. It is such a great feeling to know that
the situation with the IRS is over! Of course, all of the credit goes to all of you. I will forever be grateful. Again
and again I say thank you!”
                                                                                 Testimonial from client, Madeline B.

It’s time to celebrate! You have lived with the fear and burden of owing taxes long enough and now I

just gave you the first step to putting a stop to your tax dilemma! It’s time to breathe a sigh of relief and
to smile now that you know we are giving away the secret to getting out of your nightmare!

Now that you have decided to start making an estimated tax payment, the next decision you have to
make is to start filing your tax return on time.

Wait! Before you start groaning, I’m going to stop here and make this next step very simple.

So many people think the tax return itself is overwhelming. But your tax return is just a way to report

        three simple things:
            1. Your Income

            2. Your Expenses
            3. Your Deductions/Credits

That’s it! The IRS just wants to know the amount of money you made so they can make sure you pay
taxes on that amount. Then your expenses, deductions, and credits allow you to reduce the total
amount you owe in taxes! Simple, right?

Ok, so now that we understand what is on the tax return, let’s talk about how to go about getting what
you need together to have your tax return prepared.

For so many people the biggest burden to filing your tax return is often getting everything together to

get it prepared, but this book is all about helping you get out of tax debt, so I’m going to simplify what
you need for your tax return!
