Chapter 6

                                        The IRS Makes Mistakes

“I had an IRS tax levy and didn’t know where to turn. I knew I didn’t owe what they said and didn’t know what
to do. Then I heard Bryson Law Firm’s radio commercials. I called for an appointment right away! Bryson Law
Firm, LLC stopped the wage levy and filed the back taxes for the years I hadn’t filed. My case manager was very
understanding and had an answer for every question I asked. The entire staff was incredibly knowledgeable and
will take the time to explain every step to you.”
                                                                                     Testimonial from client, Mike M.

Recently I was given the opportunity to do a tour of one of the nation’s few IRS Regional Service
        Centers.

For anonymity I am not going to name the city I visited, as it was gracious of that IRS Service Center to
provide me with the opportunity to see their internal operations.

What I do want to share with you is the very unsophisticated way the IRS operates. One example I will
provide is how mail is received from taxpayers. The mail is simply separated into stacks by hand, then

carried to an individual who stamps every single piece of mail by hand with a document number, and
then it is carried by hand to another individual to enter the information you have sent them into their
system manually. As you can see, there are many opportunities for human error.
