Just then, a curious seagull with a pirate accent named Marty landed on the
telephone pole right next to Carl and asked, “What are you doing?”
”Well, I’m pretending to be a pirate and the captain of that treasure ship,”
said Carl.
“Oh, yer goin’ to be a great captain for sure,” said Marty, “but that’s a sailin’
vessel, and there is no treasure aboard that--thar ship, matey. ‘Cept maybe a
fish ‘arr two,” Carl laughed. “It was fun to pretend,” he said.
