The longer Carl sat there and thought about the things
that the old parrot had said, the more upset Carl became.
“I am not going to quit!” said Carl. “I have started this
journey to see the world, and I am going to see it through
no matter what! No one should live their life in fear,”
thought Carl.
“Who does that old bird think he is? He is going around
trying to scare others and make them afraid.” Now Carl
was angry and upset.
