“Madagascar?” asked Carl.

“Yes!” Jaxx replied. “Myself and the lemurs that you see in the jungle, we are not

from here. Our home is Madagascar. It’s actually very far from here. We were

on a vessel that was shipwrecked not far from this place. We, lemurs, are not the

only ones from Madagascar. Kelsey and her family are also survivors from the

shipwrecked at sea, which left us here.”

“Who is Kelsey?” asked Carl.

“Kelsey is my best friend,” said Jaxx. “She’s a very nice chameleon. You will get to

meet her soon enough, and of course, you will like her. Everyone likes Kelsey.”
