“Urgh, never mind that grumpy, old bird!” said Jaxx. “His name is Macaw, and
he is the local fear monger. He is afraid of everything and wants everyone else to
be afraid too! Every day he’s so sure the world is going to end. He proclaims to
everyone that, ‘Today could be the day!’ but we’re all still here.” said Jaxx, as he
put his arm around Carl like a big brother would do.
Jaxx gave Carl a reassuring squeeze.
Then calmly, Jaxx said, “We will probably still be here tomorrow, too.” He was
grinning at Carl.
