DR. L. H. HIRANANDANI COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, MUMBAI
About the Institute:
Dr. L. H. Hiranandani College of Pharmacy was
established in 2004 in the sprawling CHM campus
of Ulhasnagar as a proud addition to the Institutes
managed by Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate
Board. Initially named as Hyderabad (Sind)
National Collegiate Board’s College of Pharmacy,
it was, later honoured with the name of the
legendary Patron Trustee of the Board and
became Dr. L. H. Hiranandani College of
Pharmacy. The college is thus a small part of the
great legacy of Padma Bhushan Dr. L. H.
Hiranandani – a renowned ENT surgeon, a
compassionate philanthropist and a social
crusader.
USP of the institute:
• The strategic location of the institution with regards to its proximity to the Pharmaceutical industrial belt in and around the
MIDC area of Ambernath, Badlapur etc.
• Implementation of Out Come Based Education in accordance to the requirements of National Board of Accreditation .
• The B.Pharm program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation status is valid till the Academic year 2021-22
Good Governance:
• The Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, the Governing Body and College Development Committee of the college
ensure that the college is run with utmost transparency and discipline while abiding with all rules and regulations in force.
• Mentoring is done at three levels: Academic Mentoring, Career Mentoring and Counselling.
• Industry-Institute partnership activities cell conducts three fundamental activities namely; Placement, In-plant training and
factory visit. Workshops, guest lectures and events are organized for guidance on resume building, group discussion and
personal interview.
• The college is an extension centre for Department of Lifelong learning and extension of University of Mumbai.
• In order to ensure students become socially conscious citizens they are encouraged to take part in Academic Social
Responsibility activities like; Blood Donation Camps, awareness camps are undertaken.
• Weak student mentoring, Bright student mentoring, Academic Monitoring, Attendance monitoring, Model Answer Key to the
University Question Papers for each course, Dossiers for each course, Printed Journals are some of the best practices of the
college.
• College is a popular Facilitation Centre for B Pharm admissions.
• Upfront in taking up all Examination CAP related activities and successfully implementing it.
• A certificate course ‘Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Research’ is offered by the college for students interested in taking up
career in Clinical Research
Administrative Policies:
• An active Program assessment Committee (PAC), Academic In charges, Committee of class coordinators, various Statutory
committees, Examination committee, Admission committee, Administrative committees are the pillars of this esteemed
organisation.
• A vibrant Students’ Council and associated committees ensures the Conduct, coordination, management and continuous
development of the co-curricular and cultural, sports and many more spheres of a students’ life.
