Gauging Sentiment to Improve Service
Even as the industry continues to gather clarity, the Treasury’s recent Interim Final Rule and related FAQ advocated for several other specific technology funding opportunities including:
Direct COVID-19 response services, including “...contact tracing, public health surveillance, and enhanced public health data systems.”
Systems to support “job training to address negative economic or public health impacts due to a worker’s occupation or level of training”
“Modernization of cybersecurity, including hardware, software and protection of critical infrastructure”
“The building of infrastructure to verify or validate identity,
implement Federal guidance regarding fraud detection and prevention, and accelerate [unemployment] claims process- ing or process claims backlogs due to the pandemic”
SAP and our partners have developed several proven tools that are being used in public sector agencies across the country to assist with contact tracing, patient assessments, vaccine supply chain management, vaccine registration, vaccine distribution and other functions in direct support of pandemic response and recovery.
