Pre-implementation considerations
Before implementing the blended learning approach,
school managers and regional education officers would
need to take cognisance of the following as highlighted
by Brooke (2017) that there needs to be consensus
constructed with teachers as to why a blended learning
approach would be required and its benefits to the
teachers and the students.
A great sense of inventory stock taking would be required at the institution thus is
simply to determine how much infrastructure development and technologies are
required to keep maintaining the blended learning process to succeed
Based on Sam Curry and his YouTube channel New EdTech Classroom, 5 key areas
need to be considered when trying to build a blended teaching approach in a learning
ecosystem, such as; (1) A well organised navigable Learning management system,
(2) Prepare to flip a classroom, (3) Use interactive tools to make learning more
effective, (4) Emphasis on lesson design, and lastly, (5) Teach foundational
technology skills to students.
In respect of the above-mentioned considerations, several key factors will supplement
the success of blended learning approach in an ecosystem such as; selecting a
technology tool that adapts to each student’s abilities which indicates that when a
technology is selected which meet the ability of needs of the students as it will
supplement their learning needs. Secondly, the instructional program/LMS must
