TO START?
Many parents are not sure exactly where to start when considering which options,
they should be exploring for their son / daughter as they finish their GCSE’s or Sixth Form.
We often ask our children what they want to be when they grow up and many will reply
by simply saying “I don’t know!”
Always remember….. there is an option to suit everyone, we just need find it.
All young people are different, they learn in different ways and not every type
of future learning opportunity will suit their specific needs.
If your child learns best on the go, through practical experience, then they may not do
as well with academic or classroom-led learning. Similarly, if they enjoy quiet, lecture-led
lessons, getting an apprenticeship and learning on the job would probably not suit them.
As you explore this booklet you will learn more about the different options open to them.
