About the Author
Samantha Rodriguez, M.Ed., is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction of the North Arlington Public
School District. Prior to filling this position, she worked as a 9-12 Supervisor of Curriculum, Assistant
Principal; Language Arts Instructor; Basic Skills Instructor; and Varsity Soccer Coach in the Bergen County
Public School system. Samantha has been recognized by the Bergen County Educational Services
Program for excellence in teaching, was a presenter at the 2019 NJPSA Women’s Leadership Conference,
and has carried out numerous initiatives centered on the support of students, teachers, and families; this
includes the Bergen County Diversity Project, which fosters inclusivity for all PK-12 students.
