About the Author
Dr. Laura Godlesky has served in public education in New Jersey for 25 years and is currently the
Director of Curriculum for the Keyport Public School District. Dr. Godlesky earned her doctorate from
Rowan University in March of 2018 with a research focus on teacher leadership through the lens of
professional learning communities. She has presented at state and national conferences on both
teacher leadership and effective implementation of authentic professional learning communities.
