On the 21 February 2020, between 1 pm and 3 pm to be exact, a crack team of industrious
students in Pharmacology for Podiatrists set about an intellectal expedition to being meaning from
the MIMs to the practicing podiatrist and podiatry students across Australia (particularly Sydney)
concerning all things pharmacological – prescriber or not! What is set in the following pages is
(almost) everything working podiatrists should know about drugs relevant to practice. In the year
2020, there are more drugs than ever before and rates of Adverse Drugs Reactions continue to
rise. This book represents the hard work of many podiatry students who say ‘no’ to more ADRs,
worship the principles of Antibiotic Stewardship and come to lectures, tutorials and practicals
every week without fail.
