The market town’s thriving high street heralds at its centre the 16C Market House where you will find traditional markets bustling with people shopping the Ross way and on the second floor of this historic building are Made in Ross, a collective of local artists fine crafts and high quality arts where you can buy unique souvenirs and meet the artists and makers who all live locally.
Along the High Street you’ll find a plethora of independent retailers, offering everything you could want from fresh bread, ciders and juices including Field Fayre Organics, the specialist organic food purveyor. And just a few minutes away by car find the famous shopping destination Labels, home to over 200 big brands for you and your home, a seafood bar and delicious farm shop and cafe.
The town itself is rich in art boasting a number of distinctive metal sculptures created by renowned artist and local resident Walenty Pytel. Explore the fully restored Wilton Castle and travel just a few miles south to Goodrich Castle. But one of the most simple pleasures of Ross on Wye is to take a walk and a picnic down on the famous riverside and watch the swans and canoeists drift by.
