Rich in heritage there are several historic points of interest within the town; St Katherines and The Masters House circa 1231, is
a rare surviving example of a hospital complex, recently renovated and now the home of Ledbury’s new Library.
Enjoy Ledbury’s acclaimed annual Poetry Festival, attracting famous names, poets in residence and rising stars as it comes alive with verse for ten days each July. A short drive beyond the town stands Eastnor Castle, a 19C mock or revival castle with many events happening including a Cliff Richard concert in 2017. The nearby village of Much Marcle is surprisingly packed with reasons to visit, including gothic Hellens Manor, cider giant Westons, the May Blossomtime Apple Festival and the enthusiast’s July Steam Rally. En route to Hereford City, take
an award-winning afternoon tea at Trumpet Corner Tearooms, Gardens and Gallery, and meet the makers of the Handmade Scotch Egg Company at foodie destination The Nest.
For a taste of modern meets medieval, Ledbury is a visitor favourite time and again.
