AV SYSTEM
Our AV system is notorious for giving problems.
Please ensure all cabins, lounges and exterior are checked regularly before a trip and ensure everything is working. Please inform the engineers as soon as something is faulty
– this has been a massive concern for the owners. Please contact Nick Tat from Photon
Av who originally set up our AV system – should you have any queries regarding anything.
The cupboard behind the chief stews desk houses all the Av items, specifically the Kaleidescape machines. This is where one can upload new movies and play dvd’s instantly.
DVDs
Load onto Kaleidescape:
Immediate play:
Blue Ray:
Kaleidascape web address: DVD selection:
Enter dvd’s into the disk vault – the screen will show that they are being uploaded. Once the dvd has fully loaded,
you can go onto the Kaleidescape web address and have the dvd ejected. DVD’s that have been downloaded and ejected will stay on the server for guests
Should you not have time to download a guests dvd as they would like to watch it immediately, you can place it in the kaleidescape dvd player “KP02” and the movie will play immediately on Kaleidescape.
Blue ray disks can be uploaded to the Kaleidescape system in the same manner as dvd’s. However, the movie
will only be kept on the system if the blue ray disk is in the vault. Once removed the blue ray movie will be
automatically deleted. (please note there are only limited spaces in the vault, so we encourage the owner to only purchase dvds
192.168.10.213
This allows you to delete, print off lists, and eject dvd’s.
Usually we can ask Nick Tat to pass on new dvd’s to Owner to bring along for each trip. DAB was not interested in updating our DVD library this winter so nothing has changed.
