Well-delivered feedback makes people feel that you are
giving them your attention and that what they are com-
municating to you is having an impact.
In the broader picture, all of life is about feedback. All
behavior is a feedback loop
and a response to some kind
of stimulus. You evolve and
advance by knowing what
you want, taking action,
getting feedback, and using
that feedback to change what you do until you get what
you want. The better you are at processing feedback, the
better the quality of your life.
When you connect with other people, be it in busi-
ness or socially, your aim is to be welcomed into the
other person’s space, not excluded from it. By adjusting
your attitude, opening your heart, synchronizing body
language, being congruent, and giving and responding to
feedback, you will set the other person’s natural instincts
for survival at ease.
