• This is the most crucial step. Deep Rest is not
about trying to sleep or trying to control your
thoughts. It's about letting go.
• As thoughts arise (and they will), acknowledge
them without judgment, and then gently guide
your attention back to your breath or the
guiding element.
• Imagine your mind as a vast, open sky, and
your thoughts as clouds passing by. You are
the observer, not the cloud.
• Release any tension in your body, from your
toes to the crown of your head. Imagine each
part of your body becoming heavy, sinking
into the surface beneath you.
• Allow yourself to drift. You may experience a
feeling of lightness, of detachment, or even a
sense of deep stillness. This is the doorway to
Deep Rest.
5. Consistency and Patience:
◦ Deep Rest is a skill, and like any skill, it
improves with practice. Start with 15-20
minutes a day, and gradually increase the
duration as you become more comfortable.
◦ Don't get discouraged if you don't achieve a
profound state immediately. The benefits of
