76 used in this study. Due to this reason, the postpositivism philosophy has been chosen,
as it is the most applicable research philosophy for this particular study.

                                                                                Research Approach

There are two kinds of research approach generally used in research
methodology. Deductive and inductive are those two kids of the research approach.
Using the deductive approach, the facts that can be measured and agreed are utilized
to conclude. A sequence is followed by an approach where the researcher's general
principles are used in the beginning and deduction is made by the researcher. The
deductive outcome is connected to a particular situation. New information is
demanded by the inductive approach (Eom and Ashill, 2016). This is why the
researcher has chosen the deductive approach in his research paper.

                                                                                    Research Design

The variables of a specific research topic must be collected for analyzing the
entire topic. The methods, as well as processes used for gathering the variables, are
known as the research design. Exploratory, explanatory, confirmatory and descriptive
are the four popular research designs used in research methodology (Carliner and
Shank, 2016). For "Training Instructors to Apply the Quality Standards of Programs and
E-learning Courses", descriptive research design has been used by the researcher as it
helps in gathering the perspectives of the respondents of a specific research problem.
The perspectives of respondents are very vital for any research. Therefore, the
descriptive design is the most applicable research design for this study.

                                                                                  Research Strategy

Qualitative and quantitative are the two kinds of research strategies used in
conducting any research. The opinions, attitudes, and behavior of the variables can
be quantified through quantitative research strategy whereas understanding the
reasons, motivations and opinions of variables are focused through qualitative
research philosophy(Park et al., 2016). The researcher for the completion of the entire
research has used both the strategies.

                                                                       Data Collection Technique

Primary and secondary data are used in conducting research. These are the two
techniques used in collecting data. The data gathered from surveys and interview
sessions are considered as primary data. Already established theories and facts are
known as secondary data. Academic journals, scholarly articles, peerreviewed articles,
various websites and books on e-learning programs and related aspects have been
used as secondary data. These secondary data have been used for the literature review
           of this research paper.
