                                                               The gap in the literature

The researcher for reviewing the literature on “Training Instructors to Apply the
Quality Standards of Programs and E-learning Courses” has used various secondary
sources. As per Frydenberg, nine types of standards are there which can be
incorporated to improve the quality of e-learning programs. Of all those nine
standards, the literature review has emphasized on delivery, instructors, instructions,
instructional design, and course development. The remaining six standards have not
been focused on this research. Therefore, it is the major gap in this literature.

Research Methodology

                                                                             Introduction

This section of the research paper has focused on the methodology of the
research. Through this research methodology, the methods used by the researcher for
the study would be discussed in this part of the paper. The processes used for
collecting data for researching the particular topic, research philosophy, research
design, research strategy will be discussed through this research methodology. Ethical
consideration is another significant part of a research paper. Due to this reason, ethical
consideration will also be explained in this section of the study. A timetable has also
been given at the end of the methodology to demonstrate the time taken for all the
activities of the study.

                                                                  Research philosophy

Research philosophy is one of the important parts of a research paper. Dealing
with the development, nature, and source of knowledge about a specific concept is
the focus of research philosophy (Becker et al., 2017). Belief regarding the methods
used for collecting, using and analyzing the data about a particular occurrence is
considered as research philosophy. Selecting a particular philosophy is essential for
understanding the implication of the research. Pragmatism, Interpretivism, positivism,
and realism are the four kinds of research philosophies used in research methodology.
The idea gathered from the human brain is considered a realism research philosophy.
Positivism research philosophy focuses on a huge number of samples, structured
properly and quantitative and qualitative data can be used in this research philosophy.

Idea collected from real discoveries and the occurrence, which are subjective,
is considered as interpretivism. Of all these research philosophies, postpositivism
philosophy has been chosen by the researcher for discussing the topic "Training
Instructors to Apply the Quality Standards of Programs and E-learning Courses".
Postpositivism research philosophy helps in drawing the data that are positive
(Johnson et al., 2016). The knowledge gathered from past research papers has been
