A very young Club, Chartered in 2018 they are learning the values and ideals of Rotary and upholding
the traditions of Rotary in all their functions and activities and endeavors to do more service projects.
The club is aiming for a 20% increase in membership from the current strength of 32 members that
include 11 PHF Members and one Major Donor. It is a vibrant club with celebrations all year around and
family get-togethers with cultural activities. The club has a signature project ‘Manasa Mitra’ for Youth
Development that include programs like Healthy Minds, Say No to Drugs and other topics that have the
potential for becoming a District Grant Project. The club is actively following up on the District Priorities
‘Our Lovely Planet” and have plans for many projects. Rotary Club of Kochi Mahanagar has 4 District
Officials in the current Rotary Year. The GOV was presided by the PP Rtn Jayakrishnan NK and well
conducted by Secretary Rtn. Jofin Thomas.
The Club is motivated and ably supported by the DD Varghese K Joy, AG Premlal and GGR Jeyash P.

29 A club with many potential members led by President and Secretary. Some of the projects they have

done are – provided a kitchen block @ Malumichampatti Panchayat School, Tree plantations and
donated farm equipments to a farmer at Achavapalayam village along with their newly formed RCC
there. They gave a laptop to a very deserving rural student to help him in his studies. In the interaction
with the members emphasized on the importance of membership growth, contribution to the TRF and
doing more projects in tune with the Dist. Priorities. Shanthi and I had a very lively interaction with the
members and their families during the evening function.
DD Kumaresan, AG KK Chugh and GGR Trishala are great motivators for the Club.
