The day started with a special experience, by visiting a School for special children – Pratheeksha and
then to their adopted LP School @ Perumpandanna. We moved on to the Govt. Hospital , N Parur where
Vocational Service Awards were presented to the Best Nurse , Best Excise Officer, Best Municipal Sanitary
worker and Best Municipal Staff member. With their close contacts with the GST Commissionerate,
they have done many projects with them. A special visit to the 100 year young Rtn.S.P. Nair was very
memorable. Also had the good fortune of visiting the Mookambika Temple before the evening function.
Special mention about outstanding Secretary George Thomas who is ably supporting President Dileep
to take the Club to greater heights.

Nov ROTARY IRINJALAKUDA CENTRAL
23 A relatively young club started in 2000 is now very active with a total strength of 29 members lead by
President U. Madhusudhanan and Secretary Davis Karaparambil . The Club is very active in the District,
with 5 past AG’s and 6 District officials for the current year. Visited Abaya Bhavan, a home for mentally
and physically challenged people before the Club Assembly at Rotary Bhavan. The evening program
was a grand family event held at ITU Auditorium , where Padmashree Kalamandalam Gopi Asaan, a
living legend of Kathakali was recognized with the Rotary Vocational Excellence Award . Major projects
of the club are a housing project at Edakkulam, Irinjalakuda, Annapoorna Project – a one day meal
program for old age homes and orphanages every month, sponsored by their Rotarians on their special
occasions and a mega vaccination camp in co-ordination with Metro Health Care, Irinjalakuda. 30%
increase in the membership strength is the prime focus of the club this year.

DD Rtn. Maj. Gen. P Vivekanandan, AG Rtn. Davis Parambi and GGR Rtn. Francis Kokkat are guiding and
supporting the club throughout their journey.
