An energetic club under the able leadership of President Rtn. Adv. Balasubramanyan and Secretary
Rtn. Vijayan. K.V have undertaken various service activities for the betterment of society at large. Their
signature projects includes waiting sheds at the bus stands and near Police stations, Smart class rooms
for Government Schools and Toilet at the Government schools at Vadakkancherry.
DD Rtn. PratapVarkey, AG Rtn. Ramakrishnan and GGR Rtn. Mohammed RaffiAbdulsalam are ably
supporting the club.

Nov ROTARY COCHIN V YPIN ISLAND
10 It was a very unique experience to be received in a grand procession along with President Gopalakrishnan,

Secretary Surendran and Charter member Dr Karunakaran with over 100 ASHA workers with the Club
members, Anns and Annets lined up for the reception at their Club premises ‘VYPIN SIGN’
The ASHA workers were recognized with mementoes, Certificates and cash awards for their outstanding
services during the pandemic. They have done a lot during the pandemic by supplying various materials, food
for the needy throughout Vypin Island. They support the students by giving study materials and honouring
deserving students also conduct a unique program of training a batch of 50 candidates in accounting and
taxation.Had a very interactive club assembly in which membership development, improving public image
and doing bigger projects through Global Grants were discussed. During the well attended evening function
the third new addition to the club was inducted, recognized students who secured high marks in Plus+2
10th Standard public examinations and cash prize and certificate of appreciation to Resident Association
Presidents were also given. A special mention of “The Most Vibrant Rotarian of the District” – the young and
dynamic Dr. Karunakaran who just turned 90 this year, still full of energy and passion for Rotary.
