deliverance; but to-day, without exception,
those nations are returning their allegiance to
the dethroned queen, who only waits the
opportune moment to resume her seat and
her crown.
The hatred which Europe once manifested
toward the central ecclesiastical power is fast
disappearing; and before the outpouring of
the plagues, there will be general agreement
to exalt Rome. Rome to-day stands as the
arbiter of nations. She is regaining her crown
by the same method by which she at first
received it. One nation after another bows
before her throne, and recognizes the
woman’s right to ride the beast. The wealth of
all nations is about to be given into her hands.
