Page 21 - The Chosen People
P. 21
Memory Text:
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal
priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people;
that ye should shew forth the praises of him
who hath called you out of darkness into his
marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9).
Reflections:
Israel, in its practice of faith, failed to be a
“blessing to the nations.” Read Genesis 12:1-3
and recount the ways in which God has called
you to be a blessing to your family, church and
community.
Thought Question:
The Jews, with bright hopes, long awaited the
first advent of Christ, yet they knew Him not.
As you long await the Savior’s second advent,
will you hear the words “well done” or “I knew
you not”?
