THE STORY OF THE SEER OF PATMOS

                                             Stephen N. Haskell

“Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at
                                              hand” Revelation 22:10.

The exactness with which the time is given is

noted in the seventh verse. After proclaiming

that there should be time no longer, the angel

said, “But in the days of the voice of the

seventh angel when he shall begin to sound,

the mystery of God should be finished, as He

hath declared to His servants the prophets.”

The seventh trumpet, as is the case with the

seventh church and the seventh seal, begins in

time, and extends into eternity. It bridges, as it

were, the gulf between this world and the

next: but when the seventh trumpet shall

begin to sound, “the mystery of God should be

finished,” as declared by the prophets. The

sixth trumpet ended in 1840. Between the

sixth and seventh trumpets is a short interval,
