LIVING FOR HIS GLORY
What is the way to the death of self? Now
we have come to a deeper knowledge of the
wretchedness, the depravity of self, the way
to its death is the cross.
The cross is the symbol of death. When we go
to the cross, it is our end. Any life we may
know later must necessarily be a new life
which is not our own. And we can say with
Paul in Galatians 2:20 (KJV) – “I am crucified
with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now
live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of
God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
What does this scripture passage assert?
It is something that has been done once and
forever. And making this death with Christ
actual is the only way into a victorious life
with Christ, which is actual. It is very plain
from this passage that living Christ’s life
