SHE LOVED HER FAMILY! Tribute by Veronica Charles
Friend who shared her Ministry & Christian Fellowship
Mrs. Eloise Dean has been a mother in Israel to me. Our friendship has
helped me to draw closer to Jesus because of her relationship with the
Lord. She taught me to fully trust in God and rely implicitly upon Him.
She encouraged me to become a Colporteur. And I have traveled to many
places sharing the love of Jesus. I give God all the praise and honor for
what she has done for me and for all her adopted children in Israel.
As a child, Nana, as we affectionately call her, would ask me to say a Bible
verse. I would say “Jesus wept” John 11:35. And she would say that it is
too easy and follow up by giving me another verse of Scripture to
memorize for the next encounter. -Bennie (Grandson)
Nana always told us to be sure we have a close relationship with the Lord.
-Kiana (Granddaughter)
As the youngest, I would sit next to Nana in church and hear her say
“Praise God everyone”. –Lamont (Grandson)
Tribute by Becky Joseph
Student & friend who shared her Ministry & Christian Fellowship
She wasn't just Mrs. Dean, she was Mama Dean. We weren't just her
students, we were "God's Precious Jewels". She called us by name and
prayed for each of us fervently.
I consider my encounter with Mama Dean during my 8th grade year at
MUAA a divine appointment. For the five years of my secondary
academic career, she not only taught me about the life and teachings of
Christ, she also emulated it. She cultivated a value system and passion for
ministry within me that continues to impact all aspects of my life.
I am forever grateful for the beacon of light and hope she portrayed to all
she touched with her presence and kindness, and will always cherish the
memories of her loving spirit and legacy.
