Chapter 8 – Vision of the Ram, He-Goat & Little Horn
All these facts are plainly stated by Paul in a

few verses to the Hebrews 8:4, 5: “For if he

[Christ] were on earth, he should not be a

priest, seeing that there are priests that offer

gifts according to the law: who serve unto the

example and shadow of heavenly things, as

Moses was admonished of God when he was

about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith

he, that thou make all things according to the

pattern showed to thee in the mount.” This

testimony shows that the ministry of the

earthly priests was a shadow of Christ’s

priesthood; and the evidence Paul brings

forward to prove it, is the direction which God

gave to Moses to make the tabernacle,

according to the pattern showed him in the

mount. This clearly identifies the pattern

showed to Moses in the mount with the

sanctuary, or true tabernacle, in heaven,
