2022 National Surveyors Week Photo Contest Winners
Announced

Thanks to all our members and friends who participated in the 2022 photo contest for
National Surveyors Week.

We received a total of 60 photo submissions. It was wonderful to see so many different aspects of
surveying and regions throughout NY. The PR Committee had so many favorites, it was hard for
them to choose just one winner.

About the winning photo:
Photo was taken by Jordan Harris, Junior Party Chief, of
Jeremy Smith, Project Surveyor, in the fall of 2021. Jeremy
was scanning the runway to develop a topographic map
to support the Rehabilitation of Runway 5-23 project at
the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Night work was
required to minimize the disruption of air traffic.
