[ NYSAPLS Board of Director’s Meeting • November 18, 2022

Meeting called to order at 2:05 p.m. by President Roy Garfinkel I. Consent Calendar
Minutes of last BOD meeting, Financial Reports, and Committee Reports/
Present: Minutes are included in the handouts distributed prior to the meeting and
are typically all moved under a Consent Calendar format. Motion to accept
Association Officers: the Consent Calendar was made by Rich Moravec, seconded by Scott Gillis,
President Roy B. Garfinkel all in favor, none opposed, motion carried.
Executive Vice President Jeremy Thompson II. Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Scott A. Gillis • Financial statements were included in handouts.
Secretary Scott B. Allen • Our accountants forgot to bill us for our 2021 tax return and just
Directors: recently submitted that bill, which was applied to last fiscal year’s books,
Allegheny Plateau Absent thereby reducing our net income for this past fiscal year to just under
Black River Valley Howard Lyndaker $35,000 (previously reported as just under $40,000).
Catskill Absent • Our revenue from First Friday’s webinars is down slightly due to fewer
Central Douglas Reith, David Bardoun people in general signing up, and many members used their two
City Absent freebies (member benefit).
Delaware-Hudson Donald Stedge • Registration numbers for Annual Conference are slightly below our 2020
Eastern Brie Meisler, Jason Peterson levels. 2020 was the last year we had an in-person conference. 2021
Genesee Valley Justin Roloson, Matthew Palmer and 2022 were held on-line due to COVID 19.

Mohawk Valley Duane Frymire • Roy has been meeting with NYSAPLS regionals to discuss the strategic

Niagara Frontier Brian Skalman recently met with Niagara Frontier and Genesee Valley.

Southern Finger Lakes Absent
Southern Tier Absent I. Connecticut. Due to a short-term illness, Roy was unable to attend
Queensboro Absent the Connecticut Conference. John Abruzzo attended on behalf of
Westchester-Putnam C. Richard Moravec, Steven Willard NYSAPLS. John reported that he found the event very informative.
John said he would email a written report later.
For 2022, seven regionals and two members of the executive board are required for II. New Hampshire. Roy has a conflict and can’t attend their December

Motion by Brie Meisler to appoint Jason Peterson as the Teller Committee for election of • NSPS announced the national map plat winners. New York placed in
officers, seconded by Donald Stedge, all in favor, none opposed, motion carried. each category.
