SPRING 2021
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Annette Swerydow
With lockdown in August and another in September, it
has been difficult and everyone was relieved when I Pat, Margaret, Joyce and Fanny enjoying our
American culture lunch
received news from the Public Health Unit that you
could all come out of your suites that I couldn’t help but
call it out in all the corridors. I have never seen such
smiley and happy faces at one time. You couldn’t get
out quick enough! We got some great photos with
resident’s hands up in the air and laughing. It wasn’t too
long before we had the drinks out and a game of bingo
going.
It was also a relief to get rid of those blue gowns and
face shields the staff had to wear and change all the
time. But it was good practice for the staff in infection
Enjoying the serenity
control and I feel confident we all did a great job. I
received a lot of positive feedback from many of you
that the staff performed very well during this period
and they all worked extremely hard to assist you all. I
thank the staff too and we are lucky to have such caring
and kind people at Bayswater Gardens. Thank you to
Ruth and Pastor Norma for starting the hair salon day
for all the ladies who miss having their hair washed by
Maria. Very popular indeed.
Keep safe and well,
Our Olympic champion table tennis players
