SPRING 2021
WILLIAM CAPE NEWS
Welcome
By Helene Zotter
Welcome to Spring, where once again the gardens here at
William Cape Gardens are putting on a gorgeous display of
springtime blossoms and flowers. Spring will hopefully
bring warmer weather and time for us to venture outdoors Jean, Nancy and Carol being entertained
by “Stix” before restrictions
with our lifestyle program. Welcome to Marilyn Bowerman
–who has joined the Leisure & Lifestyle Team as our
Leisure & Lifestyle Co‐ordinator. Betty has stepped down
from this role and is working alongside Marilyn to enhance
the lifestyle program here at William Cape Gardens. We are
looking forward to seeing new activities and we welcome
your input and ideas.
I would personally like to thank everyone for their
understanding during these trying times. COVID‐19 has
changed all our lives and it has definitely been a
challenging and stressful time. In light of this, the messages Nancy and James dot painting
that were sent to the staff here, to acknowledge Aged Care
Employee Day, were extra special and meant a great deal to
all the staff – thank you for taking the time to acknowledge
the staff, the sentiments were beautiful. Each month we
recognise our staff with a Standing Ovation Award –the
recent recipients were: Sharon Gray (Food Services); Amrita
Khadka (Registered Nurse) and Dianne Ferrington
(Housekeeping). As always –my door is always open, so
please feel free to come and see me if you would like to
discuss anything with me.
