News from Cranbrook Care
Recognising Our Staff
Introducing Sarah Osborne
I commenced at Cranbrook Care in September of 2019
as the Quality Care and Support Manager.
When starting at Cranbrook I felt a comfortable
connection to my title. Throughout my nursing career I
have been passionate about providing quality care and
as an aged care manager I feel extremely passionate
about supporting the hard‐working staff in aged care.
My goal is to ensure compliance within the clinical and
non‐clinical operations of the Cranbrook Care’s family of
aged care residences. This is achieved by attending
auditing and providing ongoing support, guidance and
education for the Directors of Care Services, Clinical Care
Managers and Registered Nurses leading our teams.
When I studied nursing, I never would have imagined I
could blend my two careers as I have been able to in
aged care. Although I am passionate about nursing, I was
previously in the hospitality industry where I enjoyed a
varied and rewarding career as a chef. This has provided
me an opportunity to understand and oversee the
catering and care divisions of our residences allowing for
collaborative resolutions, projects and innovation.
I have recently been offered the opportunity to focus on
special projects for our residences, focusing on
streamlining key policies and procedures and
documentation whilst working on exciting new
developments that we are hoping will ensure continued
quality care and services are offered and provided to our
residents.
During the year we award staff with our
monthly Standing Ovaton Award and $150
in recognition of living the Cranbrook Care
Values.
Sharon Gray
Congratulations Sharon on being our
Standing Ovation award winner for May
2021. To thank Sharon for her hard work,
she has been given a $150 bonus for
making Mother's Day special for our
residents. We love your dedication and
passion in making a difference for our
residents. Your smiling face and bright
trolley are a pleasure to see.
Amrita Khadka
Congratulations Amrita as the recipient of
our Standing Ovation award for June
2021. To thank Amrita for her hard work,
she has been given a $150 bonus for
excelling in your role as a new graduate
RN. Your eagerness to learn is an
inspiration and has been recognised by
your team mates, residents and families.

Diane Ferrington
Congratulations Diane as the recipient of
our Standing Ovation award for July 2021.
Thank you for being the quiet achiever.
You get in and get the job done. You offer
assistance to the rest of the team and the
residents, without hesitation. Your
reliability and dedication to your work is
outstanding.
