Autumn 2017

                                                               WILLIAM CAPE NEWS

                                   Welcome

                                   By Cathy Blomquist

There are been some exciting times at William Cape Gardens over the "Knatty Knitters"
past few months from our Pink Ribbon morning tea to the launch of
our new Cranbrook Care uniforms. I’m sure you would agree that our
staff look very smart and it’s lovely to see everyone wearing the new
uniform shirts with such pride. We have received several compliments
and positive comments from our residents, families and visitors about
the look of our new uniforms.

Our Leisure & Lifestyle program is continuing to grow with the
addition of new activities and offerings for our residents to enjoy. We
                                                                            Australia Day ANZAC biscuit decorating
have recently added two new group based activities “Give & Take”
and “Table Bobs” which have proven very popular. The “Knatty
Knitters” group held on a Friday afternoon is growing in size and I was
lucky enough last week to view first hand their beautiful handiwork
including knitted and crocheted beanies, teddy bears and rugs, such a
talented group of ladies! During March we will be showing movies
daily at 2pm through our designated in‐house DVD channel which
residents can view on their TV in the comfort of their own room. Look
out for the program guide coming soon.

With winter approaching, it is again that time of year for Influenza Pink Morning Tea
vaccinations. As with other years, flu vaccines will be offered to our
residents and staff as recommended to prevent infection and related
complications. It is also timely to remind our friends and families if
they are unwell with cold or flu symptoms to delay visiting William
Cape until feeling better to minimise the chances of spreading
         infection.

         With warm wishes

                                                                            Pink Morning Tea
