Winter 2019
BAYSWATER NEWS
Welcome
By Benjamin Scott
Hello Everyone,
Rosemary and her Easter bunny
With Winter fast upon us I would like to take the opportunity to
remind everyone on how we can ensure the health and wellbeing of
our Residents living at Bayswater Gardens. Washing your hands
regularly even when they aren’t visibly dirty is the single most
effective way of keeping germs away. Hand sanitizer is available at all
entrances to the residence, if you cannot find the hand sanitiser
please see one of our friendly staff who can show you where one is
located. Please remember if you have been unwell, it is essential that
you avoid the residence until 48 hours after your last symptoms have
stopped to ensure the safety of our residents.
The NSW Health Protection Unit has advised that Influenza season Dancing with Charles
has started early this year due to an influx of outbreak reports.
Annual seasonal influenza vaccination is recommended for any
person aged 6 months and over who wishes to reduce the likelihood
of becoming ill with influenza. Many of our staff have had their flu
vaccinations as part of the Cranbrook Care program. Whilst most
people recover from the flu quickly, young children, older persons
and people with certain health conditions can be seriously affected by
the flu, which can sometimes even result in death. Please speak with
your General Practitioner or your local Pharmacist about getting your
influenza vaccination.
Joining in the fun at Grand Kids Day
On a brighter note I would like to thank all our hard working staff for
their efforts over the last few months as Bayswater Gardens has
recently hit full occupancy. As our Bayswater Gardens family grows it
is wonderful to see the smiling faces of residents, relatives and staff
as they enjoy the many activities that are regularly conducted within
the residence. As always if you need anything please don’t hesitate
to contact me on 0456 063 500 or via email.
Warmest regards,
Margaret won the Easter Raffle
